The VirBELA virtual world provides for most of the things you would expect from an international conference venue. We are using what they call a Team Suite. This has individual offices which selected participants or groups can use to present a poster: a reduced image linked to a webpage for closer scrutiny AND up to two screens where either a web page or a video may be posted. For the talks, we have a Conference Hall.
Like traditional conferences, there is provision for social interaction. Two days before the conference begins, we have some games which will assist you to familiarise yourself with the unusual surroundings and their properties. Sadly, there can be no Conference Dinner; however, no traditional conference venue provides teleportation!
Additionally, the venue will be open for 10 days after the main event for informal discussions and perusal of the 'office', or Kiosk, presentations.
